We all know that Houston is one of the biggest cities in the US. You can practically drive an hour in any direction and still be in the greater Houston area! That being said, we would love to show you all of our favorite places in each neighborhood. Today we wanted to talk about – EaDo (short for East Downtown) an area known for its great art and music scene, restaurants, breweries and more. EaDo boasts a culturally diverse selection of places to dine and things to do! Here is a list of some of our favorite places!

 

8th Wonder Brewery 

2202 Dallas Street, Houston, TX 77003

Inspired by the name given to the Houston Astrodome, 8th Wonder Brewery began brewing beer in a dome-like warehouse in East Downtown. They offer beer styles from across the world, including seasonal selections and limited-edition offerings. 

 

Roots Wine Bar

3107 Leeland St, Houston, TX 77003

Roots is the first place in Houston to offer a unique experience allowing you to “Try Before You Buy” with their fully automated wine dispensing machines.The machines give you the option to try 56 different wines in 1oz, 3oz, or 5oz pours and they change weekly! Stop by for the perfect friendly spot to enjoy wine, food, and good company.

 

EaDough Pastries & Provisions

Craving a sweet treat? Stop by EaDough Pastries and Provisions. The menu is composed of French pastries along with local provisions. The menu includes specialty baked goods such as giant cookies, cinnamon brioche, and seasonal loaves.

 

Truck Yard

The Truck Yard Houston offers food, drinks, and a super fun atmosphere. With a ferris wheel, (yes, an actual ferris wheel), tree houses, food trucks, and live music, Truck Yard Houston is the perfect spot for some outdoor fun.

 

Tout Suite

Pronounced “Toot Sweet”, this cafe & bakery is a great spot to grab a cup of coffee, get some work or studying done, or get a good meal. 

 

Gatsby Grill

Gatsby Grills is serving up some of Houston’s most delicious American Fare from steaks to sandwiches, to seafood. With a really unique New Orleans style dining room and a casual outside dining area, Gatsby Grill is a beautiful spot to try.
