Today’s blog post is another apartment tour! Because who could ever get tired of checking out some gorgeous spaces?! This one is special, too- it’s a small space apartment tour of a model our design team put together at Aris Marketsquare.
If you’re moving into a smaller space, and need some design inspo, hopefully this tour can give you some ideas. Or if you work in the multifamily industry, this can you show you a little bit about what we could do for your community (it’s so much easier to lease units when you have a fully decorated model to show off!).
When designing a smaller space, it’s important to not overcrowd the room and make it feel even smaller.
Adding color to a space is always fun, but keep it minimal, and not overwhelming. Choosing colors that look good together will go a long way to make a combined living space feel cohesive, too.
In this model unit, we opted for our Jaclyn coffee table in the living room. She has a beautiful contemporary look to her, with her chrome legs and glass top, which keeps sightlines open. This makes the space look and feel more open! An insider design tip for small spaces. 😉
We kept decor tasteful and simple. Not only is this ideal for a model unit, which should appeal to all kinds of design preferences, it’s also a smart approach for smaller spaces. Cluttered walls can visually shrink a room.
We couldn’t resist putting a classic Barcelona chair into this sunshiney corner in the unit!
We used the same open sightline trick at the eat-in bar area in the kitchen. Our Benina bar stools, with their chrome legs and see-through acrylic were perfect to keep this space feeling light and open.
In the bedroom, we used the same techniques as the living room: minimal clutter, tasteful decor, and neutrals with pops of color. The subdued palette of this room gave it a peaceful feeling- which is exactly what you want in a bedroom.
