Thanks to yesterday’s post, you know everything there is to know about Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018. But… do you know the most important part? Do you know where you’re going to eat?

That list of over 250 participating restaurants is a little daunting, it’s true. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed, and give up even trying to find a place to try. Which is why we’ve compiled a list of places to get you started.

Here’s a few can’t miss spots to visit during Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018.

For Sunday brunch… try La Table.

This French-inspired restaurant has a delicious brunch offering, from a classic croque monsieur to French toast, and is a very ‘gram worthy spot to document brunch with the girls. They even have an optional dessert course for an extra $5. Their brunch menu also offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, so this spot can please everyone! Walk-ins are welcome, however we all know how crazy a Sunday brunch rush can get, so go ahead and make a reservation if you plan to check this spot out

For a unique experience… try Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

If you’re not familiar with it, Alamo Drafthouse is a dine-in movie theater, so you get to eat food (real food, not just popcorn!) while you watch a movie. Online, they are listed as having a “lunch” menu, however their menu will actually be available all operational hours, every day of the week. There are three courses, but you choose one item from just two courses. On top of that, you get a movie ticket for a return visit. An avocado toast or a cuban sandwich, with a shake for dessert AND a movie ticket all for $20? It’s a hard deal to beat- and definitely one of the quirkier executions of Houston Restaurant Weeks! Walk-ins are welcome.

For steak night… try B&B Butchers

Just as it sounds, B&B Butchers is a steakhouse. They are also one of the biggest players in Houston Restaurant Week, and were the top donating restaurant of 2017! Have some veggie-loving friends you want to take? They also offer vegetarian options. Each course on both their lunch and dinner menus has plenty of options to choose from. B&B is a great choice for Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018, just as they are every year! Walk-ins are welcome, but making a reservation is probably a better bet with this popular spot, especially during peak times.

Pro Tip: B&B Butchers gives you the full portion size, even on the restaurant week menu (including the steak)! So make sure to come on an empty stomach.

Night Heron is a vibrant Montrose spot, and a great spot to visit during Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018.

For a casual spot… try Night Heron.

This Montrose spot has a vibrant atmosphere, and a vibrant menu, too. It’s another Agricole Hospitality concept- the same group behind Revival Market, and Coltivare, just to name a few. If you happen to be out on a nice evening, make sure you check out the patio. Both their brunch and dinner menus have plenty to offer, with diverse choices from shrimp, to ribs, to clams, and jerk chicken. Walk-ins are welcome.

Pro tip: Although it’s not included in their Houston Restaurant Weeks menu, they are also known for their cocktails, and adding a contemporary twist to a classic drink.

You can't go wrong with El Tiempo fajitas during Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018.

If you’re craving Tex-Mex… try El Tiempo.

El Tiempo is a Houston staple, and with locations all over the city, it’s an easy spot to hit. With classic dishes like queso, fajitas, and tres leches, it’ll definitely fulfil any TexMex cravings you get (and Houstonians are known to get those a lot!). Their menu is straightforward, and even has vegetarian/vegan options. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations might be your best bet if going during a peak time.

The chocolate souffle is a can't-miss option on Rise's Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018 menu.

If you want something international… try rise n°2.

This is a contemporary French restaurant, but with a twist- their menu consists of all souffles, spare a few appetizers. They have savory and sweet options, for the second and third courses, respectively. Rise is all about that French-country charm, and it’s all about the details here. On any other day, you might be skeptical about checking out a souffle restaurant, but for just $35 for a three course meal during Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018, it’s hard to say no.
