We all know that Houston is one of the biggest cities in the US. You can practically drive an hour in any direction and still be in the greater Houston area! That being said, we would love to show you all of our favorite places in each neighborhood.

Today we wanted to talk about – Downtown Houston. Downtown Houston is a bustling business hub and home to major attractions. Check out some of our favorite places in Downtown!

 

Discovery Green

 Market Square Park

Downtown Aquarium

Downtown Houston Tunnel System

Did you know downtown Houston has an underground tunnel system? If you didn’t, now you do! They were originally built in the 1930s, providing a quick way for workers of Downtown Houston to get to work without having to deal with Houston’s frequent inclement weather. It also includes restaurants, service retail, and connects 95 city blocks. The Wells Fargo Plaza on Main offers direct access from the street to the tunnel.

POST Houston

Originally the USPS headquarters in downtown Houston, Post has been transformed into Houston’s hub for culture, food, and recreation. Have a bite to eat or a drink from Post Market, enjoy outdoor activities with the family on the Skylawn, or discover Live music and entertainment at the 713 Music Hall. Finn Hall

Check out Houston’s premiere food hall, consisting of 8 independently operated restaurants and a full elevated bar.
